==================================================
CONDITIONS FOR PASSING OF THE EXERCISE CLASS
==================================================

(*) Presence of at least 10 of all (14) dates of
    exercises.

(*) Students register to a group on TUG online and are required to attend
    the exercises in their group. Attendance to other groups/times
    is NOT allowed.
    Students are required to sign an attendance list within
    the first 15 min after the start of their group.
    Presence/absence on a given exercise date will be judged only based
    on this list.

(*) Presentation of ALL 4 exercises:
    Every Tuesday - during the exercise times - each
    exercise can be presented to every professor
    or tutor (freely chosen).
    This presentation takes place completely at the computer;
    you do not need to prepare any protocols "on paper" etc.
    IMPORTANT: all programs to by presented must directly
    run on computer, ALL tests and diagrams required in the
    lecture notes of the exercise have to be presented!

    If important parts of the programs to be presented
    are missing or do not work properly, the presentation
    will be interrupted and postponed to a later date.
>> Postponing of a presentation is allowed only once
    per semester.

(*) IMPORTANT: the final date for presentations will
    be the the 10th of March 2015.
    All students who did not (positively) present ALL 4
    exercises until this date WILL GET NO UEBUNGSZEUGNIS.

=============================================
     RULES FOR THE MARKS OF THE EXERCISES
=============================================
All students can rely that all professors or
tutors will give their marks on basis of clear rules.

In case of strong disagreements between a student and
a tutor, a professor will decide the case.

(*) Each presentation will be awarded a maximum of 12 points:

- 8 points for understanding of the physical problem and of the
     numerical methods used to solve it (presented in the main lecture);
- 4 points for the implementation of the problem (code, quality
     of plots, etc).

     In order for the presentation to be succesful, a minimun of
     4/8 points and 2/4 points must be obtained for understanding
     and implementation.

- 2 points will be subtracted if the presentation is not handed in
     in time.

-    Deadlines for presentations are:

     1st exercise: 28th of October
     2nd exercise: 25th of November
     3rd exercise: 16th of December
     4th exercise: 27th of January

(*) For this system of points, different levels of the problem
    should also be taken into account. For this reason, the
    given points are multiplied by a compensating factor.
    For the exercises of WS 2014/15, these are:

       Exercise 1     factor = 1/2
       Exercise 2     factor = 1
       Exercise 3     factor = 1
       Exercise 4     factor = 1

=====================================
   FINAL MARK FOR THE EXERCISES:
=====================================

    Due to the rules described above, the maximum number of
    points (in-time presentation of all four exercises,
    good knowledge of the problems, good presentation)is 42.

     The final mark will be determined as follows:

     up to 18 points "nicht genuegend" (5)
      19 - 24 points        "genuegend" (4)
      25 - 30 points        "befriedigend" (3)
      31 - 36 points        "gut" (2)
      37 - 42 points        "sehr gut" (1)
